Herwig Brunar , born 1963 in Vienna, Austria, develops early a strong passion for watersports. He became member of the Austrian Olympic Sailing Team and participated later as professional windsurfer in the World Cup.

After finishing his sports career, Herwig's love for the sea made him settle down in Ericeira, a Poruguese atlantic-bath near Lisbon. Since then he got involved in several projects as graphic and web designer.

When he met the Colombian artist Claudia Fernandez, who specialized during her university course in glass-art, he was immediately fascinated by this new material, which he never used before.

After working and learning several years with Claudia, Herwig developed his personal techniques, and creates now a great variety of artwork using mostly strong and lifely colors, but also transparancies in mixture with various materials.
